Winter Vacation in Uttar Pradesh schools from January 1 to 15

The UP schools will reopen on January 15, 2025.
NEW DELHI : Due to cold winters, all Uttar Pradesh primary schools will remain closed from December 31, 2024 till January 15, 2025. Winter vacation has started in most states by the last week of December 2024. Many schools in UP have been closed since Christmas due to rain and dropping temperatures.
The freezing winds from the mountains have made numerous regions including Haryana, Punjab, and Delhi more frigid. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a dense fog across North India due to cold weather. Over the next two days, the temperature might drop up to six degrees, Times Now reports.
According to weather reports, the temperature might even drop below seven degrees by today. Uttar Pradesh may have heavy fog from today till January 2.
Recently Haryana education department also announced winter vacation in Haryana schools from January 1 to January 15, 2025. The school will commence from January 15, 2025.
“The Haryana Education Department has issued orders that all schools in the state will have winter vacations from January 1 to January 15. The schools will reopen on January 16, 2025,” the department of public relations posted on X.
The Rajasthan government also announced winter vacation for all the schools in the state starting from December 25 till January 5, 2025. The decision was taken after the Meteorological Department of Rajasthan state stated there might be a significant increase in cold waves in the state.
