Will Tamil Nadu schools, colleges shut tomorrow as flood situation looms?

CWC issues advisory for rainfall expected in certain regions of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Schools and colleges across Tamil Nadu might announce a holiday tomorrow as the flood situation is expected in the coastal regions. The Central Water Commission (CWC) has issued flood advisory for TN as well as Kerala.
“In extreme south Tamilnadu, heavy flows and above normal flood situation are expected in rivers such Thamirabarini (east flowing), Chittar, Manimuthar, Kodaiyar, Pazhayar, Tambraparni (west flowing), Vagai, Kodayar, Paralayar Karmanaiyar for next 2 days in districts Madurai, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi and Kanyakumari,” the advisory for TN read.
For Kerala, the commission has issued an alert for heavy flows in rivers such as Karamana, Neyyar and Vamanapuram rivers for the next two days in Thiruvananthapuram district.

Recently, the state government urged the administration of various districts to take necessary precautionary measures in view of heavy rainfall warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Referring to the IMD report, the government added that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur over the northeast, delta and coastal districts of Tamil Nadu in the coming days, as per an official statement. "The district administration are advised to take all necessary precautionary measures," it said.
Heavy rainfall warning was issued for one or two places in Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Pudukottai, Sivaganga, Ramanathapuram and Villupuram.
