WBJEE 2025 Counselling LIVE: WBJEE choice-filling, registration from August 28; cut-off, colleges

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEE) will open the window for choice-filling, and registration for the WBJEE 2025 counselling from August 28. The result for WBJEE 2025 for admissions to engineering, technology, pharmacy, and architecture admissions for the 2025-26 academic session has been declared.

Earlier today, the board declared the WBJEE result 2025 after a long delay. As per the WBJEE 2025 topper list, Aniruddha Chakrabarti from Don Bosco School has bagged the first rank in West Bengal JEE 2025.

The Calcutta High Court had earlier directed the board to publish a fresh merit list based on the old OBC reservation policy by August 22.

After prolonged delay, the WBJEE result link 2025 has been made available on the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in. Recently, the board asked candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC to upload their caste certificate. The deadline to submit the caste certificate was set at August 21, despite the high court’s 15-day deadline.

ABVP, and several aspirants also staged protests fearing further delay in publishing the WBJEE results.

The WBJEE exam was held on April 27 this year. Meanwhile, the legal battle on OBC quota policy was being heard in the Calcutta High Court, which put the admission process on hold. After a three-month long delay in declaring results, the board finally announced that it will announce the rank list on August 7.

A day before the announcement, the Calcutta HC Justice Kausik Chanda had initiated contempt proceedings against the board and state government after receiving complaints from aspirants.

Noting that the board had prepared the merit list based on the new reservation policy, which was not applicable for this year’s admission, the court ordered a fresh merit with 7% reservation for the 66 classes of OBC under the old policy.

• Key in your WBJEE application number and password on WBJEE login.
• WBJEE score card and result will be displayed on the screen.
• Check the details mentioned in the rank card and download for future reference.
