VITEEE 2020 cancelled; admission to be based on Class 12 marks

Download NowNEW DELHI: Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has cancelled VITEEE 2020 due to the prevailing COVID-19 conditions. The authorities highlighted that the situation has become risky and dangerous and conducting the exam is not safe. VITEEE 2020 was scheduled to be held from July 29 to August 2. Candidates can access the VITEEE application form till July 15.
After the cancellation of VITEEE 2020, the admission of students will be based on +2/Pre-University marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology. Also, students who will have valid JEE Main scores will be given weightage. For this, the authorities will release forms at vit.ac.in for providing the marks and JEE Main 2020 scores.
Applicants now have to update their VITEEE applications at the earliest. In case the results of the Board examination taken are not declared, applicants can upload the marks as soon as the results are available.

VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is conducted for admission to various engineering programmes offered by VIT group of Institutions at Vellore, Chennai, Amravati (Andhra Pradesh) and Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh).
