UPSEE 2021 scrapped; admissions through JEE Main

NEW DELHI: The APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Uttar Pradesh will not conduct UPSEE exam from 2021-22 session for engineering programmes. They also announced that admissions into engineering institutes will be done through JEE Main exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
As per the previous trends, more than 1,25,000 candidates used to apply for AKTU UPSEE for engineering admissions into 79502 seats. All these UPSEE engineering seats will be filled through JEE Main from 2021-22 onwards.
Thus, candidates interested in pursuing engineering in Uttar Pradesh may note that JEE Main application form 2021 for the January session is expected anytime soon. To facilitate better JEE Main preparation, the authorities will provide free of cost coaching classes in the secondary schools affiliated to AKTU.
Official Notification
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) is conducted twice a year for admissions into top engineering colleges including NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. However, for admissions into Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), candidates have to appear in another exam called JEE Advanced.
