UP Rain: Lucknow schools remain closed today

All schools in Lucknow will remain closed today due to heavy rain and bad weather.
NEW DELHI: The Lucknow schools will remain closed today on account of heavy rain and bad weather conditions. The UP government has informed all the government, non-government, and private schools regarding this. One day holiday will be there in all the urban and rural schools for all the classes up to 12.
The Lucknow district magistrate Suryapal Gangwar issued a notice to all the school heads and education officers ordering the closure of all the schools in the districts as the meteorological department predicted a heavy rain warning accompanied by lightning.

An official statement from the Lucknow DM read,” Warning of heavy rain with lightning issued by the meteorological department and given the bad weather in Lucknow for the last few hours, all the urban and all government, non-government, private schools up to class 12 of all boards in rural areas to remain closed today, Monday 11.09.2023.”

All the residents have also been informed to remain indoors as the roads and nearby areas have flooded due to heavy rain. Traffic has also been disrupted due to the bad weather according to the UP government.
