UP Board announces 2026-27 academic calendar; Class 10th, 12th exams from February 1
UP Board requires high schools and inter colleges to complete their Class 10 and Class 12 syllabi by January 10, 2027; the session begins on April 1
Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has released the UP board academic calendar for the 2026–27 session, laying out the schedule for teaching, assessments, pre-board exams, and board examinations for classes 9 to 12.
The session will commence on April 1, 2026, with emphasis on timely syllabus completion, structured assessments, and strict monitoring across schools.
As per the calendar, teaching for classes 9 to 12 will continue until the third week of June, followed by summer vacation in June. Schools are scheduled to reopen in the first week of July, after which academic activities will resume in full swing.

UP Board Calendar: Syllabus completion and assessment
Schools have been directed to complete the entire syllabus by January 10, 2027, followed by revision and a second phase of pre-board examinations.
Evaluation timelines have also been clearly outlined, with answer sheet checking to be completed promptly after exams, and result preparation beginning in March 2027.
UP Board: Attendance, assessment, and support measures
The council has mandated a minimum of 75% student attendance, along with regular internal assessments and record maintenance. Schools have also been instructed to organise remedial classes for academically weak students, especially after the half-yearly and pre-board examinations.

The board has stressed strict adherence to exam schedules and transparency in evaluation. Schools must ensure fair conduct of exams, timely result preparation, and proper maintenance of records. Any deviation from the calendar must be reported and may invite administrative action.
District-level officials, including District School Inspectors, have been tasked with regular monitoring and compliance checks, ensuring that schools follow the prescribed schedule without delays.
