UGC NET Result 2024: NTA NET December results, scorecard and Cut-off updates

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to declare the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2024 result soon along with the final answer key. Candidates can expect the UGC NET results on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

A total of 8,49,166 candidates registered for the UGC NET exam, of which 6,49,490 sat. The exam recorded an overall attendance of 76.5%. The UGC NET December 2024 exam was held in computer-based test (CBT) from January 3 to January 27 at 558 exam centres in 266 cities across the country.

The UGC NET answer key was issued on January 31 and candidates were allowed to raise objections by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per question, till February 3.

The final answer key will be prepared by the subject experts after reviewing the objections raised by the candidates. The UGC NET 2024 results will be based on the final answer key.

As per UGC NET passing marks, candidates belonging to the general category will need 40% marks while OBC-NCL, PwD, SC, ST, transgender will have to score at least 35% marks.

The NTA conducted the UGC NET exam to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of assistant professor, for awarding Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), and PhD admissions.
