NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the examination schedule for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2024 today. Candidates can check the subject-wise UGC NET 2024 schedule on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The June session of UGC NET 2024 will be conducted between August 21 and September 4.
UGC NET June 2024 will be held for ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship, appointment as assistant professor’, and admission to PhD programmes. The exam will be held for 83 subjects in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
The exam agency informed that the UGC NET exam city slip 2024 will be issued 10 days prior to the exam. “The notification regarding intimation of city of exam centre will be displayed on NTA websites – ugcnet.nta.ac.in and nta.ac.in, in prior to 10 days of exam. Candidates are also advised to visit the NTA websites – www.nta.ac.in and ugcnet.nta.ac.in for the latest updates,” it said.
As per the schedule, UGC NET exam will be conducted in two shifts – first shift from 9 am to 12 noon and second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. The UGC NET re-exam date 2024 was announced recently.
The ministry of education cancelled UGC NET 2024 held on June 24 citing compromise in integrity of the exam. Later, Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan informed that the paper leaked on darknet.
The exam was administered in two shifts on a single day for the first time. Initially, the test was scheduled for June 16 which was later postponed to June 18 due to clash with the Union Public Service Commission Civil services Examination (UPSC CSE) prelims 2024.
