UGC NET December 2025 exam from December 31 to January 7 for assistant professor, JRF, PhD
The UGC NET December 2025 registrations began on October 7 and will be closed on November 7, 2025.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the UGC NET December 2025 examination from December 31, 2025 to January 7, 2026 across the country.
The testing agency will issue the computer-based UGC NET December 2025 exam’s city intimation slip 10 days before the exam at its official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
Recently, the NTA has also advised all candidates looking forward to applying for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2025 examination to ensure their Aadhaar and Unique Disability ID (UDID) details are updated before registering for the competitive exam.
The UGC NET December 2025 exam will be conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for assistant professor posts, JRF, and PhD admissions.

UGC NET December 2025 registrations underway
Two days after the NTA opened the UGC NET application window, it advised candidates to keep their documents updated in order to avoid any inconvenience during the registration process and the processing of their Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
The UGC NET December 2025 exam will be conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for assistant professor posts, JRF, and PhD admissions. The UGC NET December 2025 registrations began on October 7 and will be closed on November 7, 2025.
Candidates are required to submit the application form along with an application fee Rs 1,150 for general category, Rs 600 for EWS and OBC-NCL, and Rs 325 for SC, ST, PwD candidates.
The application correction window will be made available from November 10 to 12. However, the admit card release date and exam date have not been announced yet.
