The UGC has asked all colleges, universities and educational bodies to send detailed reports to raggingcell@yahoo.in, elaborating on the measures they have taken to stop incidents of ragging. These reports should highlight steps such as awareness drives, disciplinary measures, and proactive engagement with students.
“The UGC remains committed to ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment in all higher educational institutions,” it said in an official statement.
In the new notification, the UGC has asked regulatory bodies and monitoring agencies to conduct more surprise inspections, so that college policies can be upheld and maintained.
