TNSET 2024 results declared on trb.tn.gov.in; 4,569 qualify for assistant professor post

Join Careers360 PremiumThe Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB), Tamil Nadu, has announced the results of the Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test (TNSET) 2024 today, September 27. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their TNSET 2024 results through the official website at trb.tn.gov.in.
The board states that a total of 99,178 candidates applied for the TN SET 2024 exam, of which 76,150 candidates appeared. As per UGC norms, 6% of candidates appearing are declared qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor. The qualified candidates are determined based on aggregate marks, with a minimum of 40% required for the General category and 35% for reserved categories.
The TNSET exam 2024 was conducted for 43 subjects on March 6, 7, 8, and 9, 2025. Candidates declared qualified in the exam can download their scorecard and TNSET certificate through the official website by entering their registration number and password. The subject-wise cut-off marks for TNSET 2024 is also available on the official website.
TRB has also released the TNSET 2024 final answer keys along with the results. Candidates are required to enter their registration number, date of birth, exam date, and select the relevant exam batch on the TRB portal to download their TNSET 2024 answer key.
The TNSET exam is conducted for the recruitment of Assistant Professors in colleges and universities across the state. The TNSET exam is conducted in two papers: Paper 1 is common for all candidates, and Paper 2 is based on the chosen subject. Candidates will have to qualify in both papers to pass the exam.
