1.69 lakh candidates applied for TNEA counselling 2025 so far: Tamil Nadu higher education minister

TNEA 2025: Candidates can apply for BTech admissions on tneaonline.org by June 6.
A total of 1,69,634 students have registered within 10 days of commencement of registration for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2025, according to higher education minister K Ponmudi. The application process for TNEA counselling 2025 started on May 7 on the official website, tneaonline.org.
According to the TNEA 2025 counselling dates, the last date to submit the applications is June 6 and the deadline for submitting the required documents is June 9. TNEA rank list 2025 will be published on June 27.
“The online registration for Tamil Nadu engineering admissions commenced on 07.05.2025. As of 6:00 PM today (16.05.2025), 1,69,634 students have registered. Among them, 53,624 are male students and 48,514 are female students — a total of 1,02,138 students have paid the application fee,” said the higher education minister.
Candidates who have passed Class 12 board exams 2025 are eligible to apply for admissions to BTech programmes offered at Tamil Nadu colleges through TNEA.

Applicants belonging to the general category are required to pay Rs 500 as TNEA 2025 registration fee. SC, ST, SCA category candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu are required to make payment of Rs 250.
