SSC announces CHSL 2026 tier 1 results at ssc.gov.in; 39,901 candidates shortlisted

Download NowThe Staff Selection Commission (SSC) declared the SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) 2026 tier 1 results today on February 27. Candidates who appeared for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination can check their results on the official website, ssc.gov.in, using their login credentials.
Since the tier 1 computer based examination was conducted in multiple shifts, SSC has applied a normalization formula, as per its official methodology, to ensure fairness. The normalized scores have been used to shortlist candidates for Tier 2.
The result and scorecard include details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, category, post applied for, date of birth, and parents’ names, along with Tier II qualification status.
For the CHSL 2025–26 recruitment cycle, the commission received applications from approximately 30.69 lakh candidates. However, only 11,07,975 candidates appeared for the tier 1 examination. Of these, 39,901 candidates have been shortlisted by the SSC to advance to the next stage, tier 2.
Candidates who have qualified will now appear for tier 2, which includes an objective test in session 1 and a skill test or typing test in session 2. The commission is yet to announce the official date for the tier 2 examination.

Candidates can follow the below steps to check their SSC CHSL tier 1 results;

Visit the official website: Go to ssc.gov.in using any web browser.

Find the result link: On the homepage, click on the link titled “SSC CHSL Result 2026 (Tier 1).”

Open the result PDF: The result will appear in PDF format; use the search option (Ctrl + F) to enter your roll number or name.

Download and save: Download the PDF and keep a printed copy for future reference, especially for the Tier II process.
