SKIT College starts five-day boot camp; 300 students participate

The innovation cell of the union education ministry and AICTE are organising the five-day boot camp at SKIT College.
NEW DELHI: Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology (SKIT) is hosting a five-day national-level bootcamp of innovation, design and entrepreneurship (IDE), which started yesterday. The camp is being organised by the innovation cell of the ministry of education and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
More than 300 students from 50 cities of 10 states are participating in the camp. While providing information about the boot camp, Puneet Sharma, an organiser of the boot camp, explained the importance of the boot camp to the participants from Atal Tinkering Lab Jaipur and students of Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh.
In his speech, Surja Ram Meel, SKIT president stressed the importance of values, determination, and team effort. NP Padhi, director of Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) emphasised the importance of energy resources and focused on developing innovative ideas to utilise the energy resources significantly.

On the first day of the event, the winner of the Smart India Hackathon took guidance from mentors on issues like design, business opportunity, and prototype of their project.
Students were guided to work on the next phase of projects like alerts for avalanches and improving the justice system for undertrial prisoners in India. Expert panel talks and faculty interaction also took place during the boot camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahavir Pratap Sharma, chairman of TiE India Angels, emphasised innovation, creation and execution.
