A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Vikash Preetam Sinha, shared the image of the university’s BA Political Science paper that read, “Do you find any similarities between Fascism/Nazism and Hindu right wing (Hindutva)? Elaborate with arguments”. The image which is circulating on social media has now raised eyebrows. #banshardauniversity is also trending on Twitter.
“The name of the university is 'Sharda' but see the act. The students are being asked in the examination to write about 'Hinduism' as essentially equivalent to Fascism and Nazism. This question paper is allegedly made by a Muslim teacher,” the BJP leader wrote on Twitter.
In a similar incident, the Rajasthan Board Class 12 political science question paper sparked a controversy after it asked students as many as six questions relating to the Congress political party. The BJP attacked the Congress party claiming that the questions in it were aimed at glorifying the ruling party in Rajasthan.
Responding to the allegation, the state education minister BD Kalla said that the questions were not selected by the Rajasthan government.
