SC adjourns hearing of plea seeking cancellation of Class 12 board to June 3

Download EBookNEW DELHI : The Supreme Court of India has adjourned the CBSE, ICSE Class 12 board exam hearing to Thursday. Now, the SC hearing on CBSE exam has been scheduled for June 3, 2021. However, the CBSE is expected to take a decision on the Class 12 board exams on June 1, 2021, after reviewing the COVID-19 situation.

Today, the bench adjourned the matter to Thursday noting that competent authorities are examining all aspects, Live Law reported. The authorities are likely to take a decision that will be placed before the court in the next hearing.
The report further says that the bench said that it has no difficulties if the government takes its decision. In the SC hearing on CBSE Class 12 exam, the bench said to the authorities, “If you depart from previous year’s policy give us good, tangible reasons,” the report added.
Earlier, the hearing was scheduled for May 28 and it was adjourned to May 31 as the petitioner did not serve an advanced copy on the standing counsel for the CBSE.
