RUAS 9th annual convocation: UGC chairman confers degrees to 1,910 students

RUAS 9th Annual Convocation: 32 PhD scholars, 670 postgraduates, and 1,208 undergraduates received their degrees during the event.
NEW DELHI: The Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) Bangalore, celebrated its 9th Annual Convocation on January 3, 2025, where 1,910 students – including 32 PhDs, 670 postgraduates, and 1208 undergraduates – were conferred their degrees, as per the reports by Deccand Herald.
The university also handed gold and silver medals to 102 graduating students. Graduates from fields such as engineering, management law, social sciences, medical sciences, applied sciences, and health sciences received their degrees, Deccand Herald reported.
University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar was the chief guest of the event who addressed the graduates with “an educative, informative and inspiring message,”
"The aspiration of every student should be on how to build a future which is secure, sustainable and peaceful,” Kumar said, Indian Express reported.
MR Jayaram, chancellor of MSRUAS, also congratulated the graduates and addressed them with inspiring thoughts. Kuldeep Kumar Raina, vice chancellor of RUAS, other dignitaries, faculty members, and parents also participated in the convocation ceremony.
