Subscribe NowNEW DELHI: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is expected to release the RRB Group D 2021 exam dates and notification soon. As the RRB NTPC exam 2021 is nearing its closure, RRB might release some information related to Group D recruitment also.
RRB Group D recruitment has been pending for a long time. The RRB Group D notification was released in 2019 however, in 2020, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The CEN No. 01/2019, No. 03/2019 and No. RRC 01/2019 for various categories was scheduled to be conducted to fill in 103769 vacancies, however, it seems deferred till further notice. Now as the 7th phase of the RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) exam is going to end on July 31, 2021, we might expect some proceedings from the official.
Why is the RRB Group D 2021 exam conducted?
The Indian Railways conduct the RRB Group D exam to fill in various posts for Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant in various technical departments (Electrical, Mechanical and S&T departments), Assistant Pointsman, Level-I posts in other departments for the Indian Railways.
In how many stages the RRB Group D 2021 exam is conducted?
The RRB Group D exam is conducted in 4 stages - Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification (DV) and Medical test. Candidates qualifying in one stage are eligible to appear in the subsequent stage.
Who can apply for the RRB Group D 2021?
Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility can apply for the exam. As per the minimum academic qualification is concerned, candidates who wish to apply for the RRB Group D exam must have qualified 10+2 while the age limit required for the exam is 18 to 30 years. There is upper age relaxation given to candidates belonging from reserved categories.
