Rajasthan Sub-Inspector Exam 2021: SIT was investigating the matter of paper leak. The decision was given by Justice Sameer Jain in the Jaipur High Court.
The Rajasthan High Court has cancelled the Rajasthan Sub Inspector Recruitment Exam 2021, after a prolonged legal hearing. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) was investigating the matter of paper leak in the exam.
The decision was delivered by Justice Sameer Jain in the HC. The SI exam conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) for 859 posts had been under scrutiny due to a major paper leak.
According to News18 reports , senior IPS officer VK Singh and Special Operations Group (SOG) officials investigating the case, it was uncovered that the paper was leaked in Jaipur and was sold to candidates for Rs 15-20 lakh.
So far, about 125 accused have been arrested in this case, including 50 trainees. These include paper mafia brokers, members of the examination agency RPSC, and candidates who bought the paper. Also, several trainees have been dismissed from the police service.
Earlier, the state government formed a cabinet sub-committee to decide whether the exam should be canceled or not. But the Rajasthan HC overturned the government’s decision based on the evidence of widespread fraud and corruption. The government had also presented its case in court on the same basis. The SIT formed by the Bhajanlal-led BJP government led the probe.
