Rahul Gandhi's visit to PG Men's Hostel of Delhi University caused chaos: DU VC's office

DU vice-chancellor's office issues a statement regarding Rahul Gandhi's visit to the PG Men's hostel. The office says that the visit raises concern of security.

Download NowNEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi interacted with students at the Post Graduate Men's Hostel of the Delhi University on May 5, 2023 to interact with the students. However, the DU vice-chancellor's office takes serious note of the 'unauthorised visit and unannounced entry without any prior information.'
According to the DU VC's office, this visit raised concerns for the hostel inmates and the leader. "University authorities will take necessary steps to avoid such incidents of this trespassing and will ensure that this does not happen in future again," read a statement.

The notice also said that the Congress leader's visit disrupted the lunch of many inmates, who got annoyed due to the chaos created by his entry along with the "mob" accompanying him. Meanwhile, student reactions on twitter were positive. "A lot of *ABVP* students were present in that meeting and they were impressed by him. Leader of people amongst the people," said a twitter user.
Rahul Gandhi Ji visited the hostels of Delhi University, North Campus. He interacted with students, and listened to their problems.
