Plaksha University: The new programme aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurial skills in students.
NEW DELHI : Plaksha University has announced a new undergraduate programme, Minor in Technology Entrepreneurship. The programme was launched in collaboration with University of California, Berkeley’s Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (SCET).
The new programme aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurial skills in students, the Plaksha University statement said.
The minor programme is designed to equip undergraduate students with the knowledge, skills, and entrepreneurial mindset needed to excel in technology-driven ventures, the statement added.
The programme has been co-created with UC Berkeley’s SCET. The launch of the course is part of the renewed partnership between Plaksha University and SCET.

Minor in Technology Entrepreneurship programme
The Minor in Technology Entrepreneurship programme will focus on hands-on learning, enabling students to engage in startup projects, simulations, and entrepreneurial challenge labs.
Advanced electives at the intersection of technology, business, and sustainability are set to be introduced as the program evolves, allowing students to further specialize in their areas of interest.

Nandini Kannan, the dean of academics, said: “At Plaksha, we are committed to creating an ecosystem that fosters an entrepreneurial spirit through real-world experiences, innovative case-based pedagogy, and a focus on venture building. The launch of the new minor is a crucial step in equipping future innovators with the mindset and skills to solve critical global challenges and build impactful ventures.”
Susan Giesecke, the director of global engagement at SCET, said: “We are excited to renew our collaboration and deepen our partnership with Plaksha University. This programme offers students a learning experience modeled after Berkeley’s successful entrepreneurship curriculum, with a focus on building problem-solving and leadership skills. It is a pivotal step in preparing the next generation of Indian technology leaders.”
