PAU's COAET organises inter-class mural making competition to celebrate world engineering day

NEW DELHI: The Alumni Association, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (COAET), Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) organised an 'Inter-Class Mural Making Competition' to celebrate World Engineering Day. The event showcased young talents and witnessed participation of 115 graduate and postgraduate students.
SD Khepar, former Dean of COAET, appreciated the students for displaying their creativity, originality and execution of each mural.
Innovative murals created by students under the mentorship of SK Singh, Nilesh Biwalkar and Gurnaz Singh Gill were judged by a panel of esteemed artists and alumni. The first prize was bagged by MTech (SWE) students on the theme “Go Green, Breathe Clean,”.
The second prize was grabbed by BTech second year students on the theme “Waste Management” whereas, the consolation prize was given to BTech first year students on the theme “AgriEvolution.”

Chief guest Manjeet Singh, Dean, COAET, said “Engineers play a pivotal role in developing innovative solutions to today's pressing concerns, such as environmental degradation, climate change and resource depletion.”
Preetinder Kaur, President of the Alumni Association, said that the event was a testimony to the power of creativity and community engagement in an educational environment. “Alumni association will continue to play a vital role in supporting the holistic development of students and nurturing their creative minds by organizing such engaging activities,” she added.
Former deans SK Sondhi, JS Mahal and Ashok Kumar, and esteemed alumni Mr Janmeja Singh Johal were also present at the event.
