Government medical colleges have been asked to share forms with eligible faculty members to give their willingness.
NEW DELHI: For inspection of medical colleges, the National Medical Commission has sought details of faculty members willing to become assessors. The Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) will be creating a pool of assessors for conducting the inspections.
NMC asked the deans and principals of all government medical colleges to share a Google form with each faculty member who is eligible to become a PG guide for seeking their willingness to be associated with NMC for the task of conducting assessment of medical colleges from time-to-time.
The eligible faculty members of government medical colleges have been requested to give their willingness through the form.
MARB will start the inspection process for the academic year 2025-26 in due course for various undergraduate and postgraduate applications for which faculty from various government medical colleges will be engaged as assessors for conducting the inspections.
“The inspection of medical colleges is a crucial activity for ensuring and enhancing the quality of medical education in India. Since, NMC would be conducting surprise inspections of various medical colleges, the faculty of Government Medical College will be engaged for this purpose,” the commission said in an official notice.
