The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has declared the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2026) results for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes today. The login credentials to access the CLAT 2026 results include candidates’ registered mobile number and password.
The pen and paper mode CLAT 2026 written exam was held on December 7 in a single shift from 2 pm to 4 pm. Around 92, 344 candidates seeking admission to UG and PG law programmes at government and private law colleges across the country appeared for the college entrance test.
For the undergraduate (UG) programme, the exam include five sections with 120 questions, reduced to 119 after one question is withdrawn. The highest score in CLAT 2026 UG is 112.75. Section-wise, the exam has 24 questions in English Language, 28 in Current Affairs and General Knowledge, 30 in Legal Reasoning, 26 in Logical Reasoning, and 12 in Quantitative Techniques.
For the postgraduate (PG) programme, the exam has one section with 120 questions, reduced to 119 after one question is withdrawn and three others are updated. The highest score in CLAT 2026 PG is 104.25. The consortium also issued the CLAT 2026 final answer key today.
The top 100 scorers for UG and PG are spread across multiple cities. For UG, Bengaluru recorded 15 top candidates, followed by New Delhi with eight, and Mumbai with seven. For PG, New Delhi had 22 top candidates, Jabalpur eight, and Jaipur seven.
How to check CLAT 2026 result?
The steps to check the CLAT 2026 result are given below.
- Visit the official CLAT 2026 portal at consortiumofnlus.ac.in
- Log in to your account using your registered credentials (username and password).
- Navigate to the “CLAT 2026 Scorecard” section.
- Select the programme you appeared for (UG or PG).
- Download the official scorecard in PDF format.
- Save the scorecard for future reference and take a printout if required for admission procedures.
Overall attendance for the exam is 96.01%, with 57% female candidates, 43% male candidates, and nine candidates identifying as transgender. Participating NLUs conduct the admissions process for five-year UG and PG programmes for the 2026-27 academic session based on CLAT 2026 scores.
