NLSIU Bengaluru to hold 33rd annual convocation on September 7; over 250 students to receive degrees

The NLSIU Bengaluru 33rd annual convocation, scheduled from 11 am to 1 pm at the BASE University Auditorium, will feature TN Ninan, former chairperson and editor of Business Standard, as the chief guest.
The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, will hold its 33rd annual convocation on September 7, 2025. Over 250 law students are expected to receive their degrees during the ceremony, which is scheduled from 11 am to 1 pm.
The ceremony will be held at the Dr BR Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE) University Auditorium, Jnana Bharathi Road, Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. TN Ninan, former chairperson and editor of Business Standard, will be the chief guest and deliver the convocation address.
As per the official press release, the convocation will be presided over by Justice Surya Kant, representing the chancellor of the university. He will deliver the presidential address, highlighting the importance of legal education and the role of NLSIU graduates in the country’s legal landscape.

The programme will begin with the national anthem and invocation, followed by opening remarks and a brief annual report by the Vice-Chancellor. The institute states that the welcome address will be delivered by Manan Kumar Mishra, Chairman of the Bar Council of India and Member of Rajya Sabha. A graduating student will also address the audience, reflecting on the experiences and achievements of the graduating batch.
The university further informed that the core of the ceremony will include the declaration of the opening of the convocation, conferment of degrees, medals, and prizes to meritorious students. The convocation will conclude with the presidential address, the chief guest’s convocation address, and the formal dissolution of the convocation, followed by the national anthem.
