NIT Andhra Pradesh to conduct second, third joint convocation offline on November 13

NIT Andhra Pradesh will conduct convocation for 2016-20 and 2017-21 jointly in physical mode. V Karthik Reddy, and B Anusha are the institute toppers.
NEW DELHI: The National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh will conduct its second and third convocation jointly on Saturday, November 13, 2021. Around 381 candidates of 2016-20 batch and 412 candidates of 2017-21 batch will be awarded degrees during the event. The convocation will be conducted in physical mode (offline) at 4 PM.
The Chief Guest of the convocation will be G Satheesh Reddy, Chairman, Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), who will also deliver the Convocation Address. Dasarath Ram Yadav, Director, Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) will be the Guest Honour. Mridula Ramesh, Chairperson, Board of Governors (BoG), NIT Andhra Pradesh, will preside over the ceremony.

NIT Andhra Pradesh topper from the 2016-20 batch is V Karthik Reddy, student of Mechanical Engineering who scored a CGPA of 9.59. A total of 381 candidates including 229 male students and 152 female will be conferred with degrees in the second convocation.

While during the third convocation for the 2017-21 batch, 412 students including 313 male, and 99 female students will receive their degrees. B Anusha who studied Electronics and Communication at NIT Andhra Pradesh in 2017-21 batch has topped the institute with a 9.46 CGPA.

Addressing a press conference at the Campus in Tadepalligudem today, CSP Rao, Director, NIT Andhra Pradesh, said: “Three batches of students have graduated successfully so far and a total of 793 candidates will receive their degrees during this 2nd and 3rd Joint Convocation. Two students will get Institute Topper Medals and Sixteen BTech students will receive gold medals for securing the highest CGPA in their respective branches.”

“A good number of candidates are anticipated to attend the convocation physically with their parents...Further, the Institute wishes to participate in the NIRF Ranking this year after successful graduation of three batches of students in full-time UG programmes,” Rao added
