NIRF ranking 2025 tomorrow; here's a recap of top institutes in India over last three years

NIRF 2025 Ranking: Colleges and universities in India will be ranked in 17 categories including a new one based on five parameters.
Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan will announce the 10th edition of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 tomorrow, September 4, wherein colleges and universities of India will be ranked based on five parameters. Delayed after a stay by Madras High Court, the NIRF ranking 2025 will be announced during an event at Shastri Bhawan.
India rankings 2025 are expected to see a new category on sustainability and slight twists over negative marking for retraction of research papers.
Last year, the higher education institutions were ranked in 16 categories including overall, engineering, pharmacy, management, architecture and planning, agriculture and allied sectors, law, medical, dental, innovation, skill university, open university, state public university, colleges, research institutions, and universities.
The education ministry introduced three new categories in NIRF including open universities, skill universities, and state-funding public universities.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has remained on the top position for the last three years when it comes to the best institute in India, followed by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, and IIT Delhi or IIT Bombay.
