NEET UG Counselling 2025: NRI quota provisional list out for round 2 allotment; 495 candidates eligible

Try NowThe Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued the provisional list of candidates eligible for filling Non-Resident Indian (NRI) quota seats in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2025 round 2 counselling. The seat allotment will be carried out in order of priority after verification of documents.

According to the official notice, allotment of NRI seats will be done in order of priority . Candidates under Priority 1 include NRI candidates themselves and children of NRIs, while Priority 2 covers first-degree and second-degree relatives of NRI wards. The allotment process will be conducted sequentially, with Priority 1 candidates considered first, followed by Priority 2, subject to the availability of seats.
A total of 495 candidates are found eligible for the NRI quota in NEET UG 2025 round 2 counselling. These include 144 candidates under priority 1 and 351 candidates under priority 2. Candidates can download the NRI eligible candidates list for NEET UG 2025 round 2 counselling through the official website at mcc.nic.in.
Original documents required at reporting
The committee has also clarified that the list is provisional. Candidates will have to present original documents , such as proof of NRI status and relationship certificates at the time of reporting to their allotted medical colleges. Colleges have the right to cancel allotment in case of any document deficiency.
“The list is provisional and Candidates are advised to ensure that all required original documents (proof of NRI status, relationship certificates, etc.) are submitted correctly at the time of reporting at the allotted medical college and in case there is a deficiency of documents, the college can cancel the seat allotment,” the official notice said.
The committee has also announced a revised schedule for NEET UG 2025 counselling. Candidates can now fill their choices for NEET UG round 2 counselling till September 15.
