Applicants are advised to ensure their Aadhaar/UDID information and category certificates are updated as per NTA guidelines before submitting the application form.
Before starting the NEET UG 2026 registration, candidates should keep all required documents ready to ensure a smooth application process. These typically include the class 10 certificate as proof of date of birth, the class 12 mark sheet or appearing certificate, and recent passport-size and postcard-size photographs.
Applicants must also upload their signature, left and right-hand thumb and finger impressions, and a valid identity proof such as Aadhaar, along with an address proof. Additionally, candidates belonging to reserved categories are required to submit the relevant category certificates, if applicable.
The registration for the NEET UG 2026 started from February 8 and will be open till March 8. The NEET UG 2026 exam will be held on May 3, 2026.
NEET UG 2026 will be conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode for admission to undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc, and AYUSH programmes in government and private institutions across India. The exam will consist of 180 questions, with each question carrying four marks.
NEET UG 2026: Languages, fee and total candidates
For NEET UG 2026 application fee varies based on the candidate’s category and whether the exam centre is in India or overseas. As per the latest information from the National Testing Agency (NTA), the tentative fee details are:

General-EWS, OBC-NCL: Rs 1,600

SC, ST, PwBD: Rs 1,000

Candidates opting for centres outside India: Rs 9,500
Like previous years, the exam is expected to be held in 13 languages — English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Although the registration has just began and the official number of candidates has not been announced, past trends indicate that around 24 to 26 lakh students are likely to appear for NEET UG 2026.

- Visit the official website: neet.nta.nic.in
- Click on New Registration and read the instructions carefully
- Generate login credentials by entering basic personal details
- Log in using the application number and password
- Fill in personal information, academic details, and exam city preferences
- Upload the required documents in the prescribed format
- Pay the application fee online
- Submit the NEET UG 2026 application form and save a copy for reference.
