Plans to shift NEET UG 2026 to online computer-based test (CBT) are also under consideration, especially after the recommendation of the high-level committee headed by former ISRO chief K Radhakrishnan. NEET UG in CBT mode may help prevent paper leaks and logistical issues faced in the past.
However, no decision has been made regarding the NEET UG 2026 question paper pattern, registration, and exam date yet. This year, the NEET exam was held in offline mode in 552 cities in India and 14 cities abroad on May 4 from 2 pm to 5pm. The NEET UG question paper will have 180 compulsory questions carrying a total of 720 marks.
