Ahead of the NEET UG registration 2025, the NTA has clarified that the exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode in a single shift.

The subject-wise NEET UG syllabus 2025 was notified by the National Medical Commission (NMC) in December. The NTA has also removed the optional questions introduced during COVID-19 pandemic. As per the revised NEET UG exam pattern 2025 , students will have to mandatorily attempt all 180 questions.
The NEET UG question paper 2025 will have three sections - physics and chemistry will have 45 questions each and biology, which will have zoology and botany, will have 90 questions. As per previous years’ exam paper analysis, physics has been rated the toughest in NEET UG.

NEET UG physics chapter-wise weightage
The most important chapters for the NEET physics are laws of motion, Magnetic effect of current and magnetism, current electricity, optics, electromagnetic induction and alternating current and others, as per previous year question paper (NEET PYQ).
