The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct this year’s National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2023 exam tomorrow, May 7, 2023 cities in and outside India for admissions to medical courses. NTA has issued NEET UG admit card 2023 on the official website – neet.nta.nic.in.

NEET UG 2023 will be conducted in pen and paper mode for a duration of three hours and 20 minutes. The timings of the medical entrance exam will be 2 pm to 5:20 pm. Candidates must carry their admit cards along with a photo ID to the exam hall.
This year, 20.87 lakh students have registered for NEET UG 2023 which is 2.57 lakh more than last year. Of total applicants, 11.8 lakh female candidates have registered for the exam while 9.02 lakh male candidates have applied. Several NEET UG 2023 applicants had urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan to postpone the exam in view of rising Covid cases.

NEET UG 2023 question paper will include multiple choice questions on four subjects - physics, chemistry, botany, and zoology. Each subject will have two sections. Section A will consist of 35 questions while Section B will consist of 15 questions. Candidates will have to attempt 10 questions from section B.
Candidates will be awarded four marks for each right answer whereas one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Zero marks will be given for unattempted or unanswered questions.
NEET UG 2023 is being conducted in 13 languages namely English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu in line with the National Education Policy (NEP). NTA has clarified that candidates who have opted for the English language for the exam will be provided the question booklet in English only while candidates who opted for Hindi or regional languages would be provided with a bilingual test booklet with one language being English and other being Hindi or regional language.
