NEET UG 2021 Counselling: MCC says migration certificate not ‘mandatory’ for MBBS admission

MCC will begin registrations for the mop-up round of NEET counselling 2021 from March 10 onwards and the choice filling facility at mcc.nic.in.
NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a notice regarding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) counselling. According to the notice, the migration certificate is not a mandatory document for reporting of UG counselling.
The MCC in the latest NEET UG Counselling notice said, “It is for the information to candidates/ participating colleges that Migration Certificate for Reporting of UG Counselling is a desirable document but not ‘Mandatory’.”
“It is advised to colleges that in case any candidate is not able to produce ‘Migration Certificate’, the college can admit the candidate provisionally by receiving an undertaking from candidate that he/she will submit the Migration certificate within a period of 7 days,” it said.
“The candidate may not be denied admission for not having Migration Certificate,” the MCC reiterated.
On February 27, the MCC announced the round 2 results for NEET UG Counselling 2021 at mcc.nic.in. Candidates who have participated and were allotted seat in NEET UG 2021 round 2 counselling had to download their seat allotment letters and report to the colleges from February 27 to March 5, 2022.
MCC will begin registrations for the mop-up round of NEET counselling 2021 from March 10 onwards and the choice filling facility from March 11, 2022. Candidates who did not participate in round two will be eligible for the mop-up round. After the seat allotment process, the result PDF for the NEET counselling 2021 mop-up round will be published on March 19, 2022.
MCC NEET counselling is conducted for admission under 15% All India Quota (AIQ), deemed/central universities, ESIC, AFMS, AIIMS and JIPMER institutes.
