NEET SS 2024 registration starts at 3 pm today; two-day exam, paper pattern revised

The NEET SS application form will be available till February 24 on the official website, natboard.edu.in. The exam was not held last year due to delay in admission.
NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will commence the registration for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Super Specialty (NEET SS 2024) from 3 pm today, February 4. The NEET SS exam will be held on March 29 and 30, as announced earlier.
The NBE informed that the NEET SS application form will be available till February 24. The National Medical Commission (NMC) decided not to conduct the NEET SS 2024 last year as the “admissions for the academic year 2021 for MD, MS and DNB courses were held only in January to May 2022”.
Replying to a RTI, the NMC had also said that the exact date of conducting the NEET SS in the year 2025 will be announced later. In this regard, the NEET SS information bulletin and application form has been uploaded today at the official website, natboard.edu.in.
The NEET-SS 2024 is a single eligibility-cum-entrance test for admission to super specialty courses for the academic session 2024-25. All DM, MCh courses offered in the country including all private medical colleges, universities, and deemed universities, Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions will be filled through the NEET SS score.
Candidates will also be able to apply for all DrNB Super-specialty courses, except for direct 6 year DrNB courses.

NEET SS 2025 important dates
A NEET SS demo test will be uploaded on the official website to familiarise thems with the computer-based test (CBT). Applicants will be able to access the NEET SS mock test link from March 20 onwards.

NEET SS revised exam pattern 2025
The national-level NEET SS exam will be held in computer-based test (CBT) format in two shifts - morning and afternoon.
- All DM, MCh, DrNB courses offered through NEET-SS 2024 will be grouped into 15 different groups.
- For admissions to DM, DrNB Medical Oncology, a separate question paper group namely ‘Medical Oncology Group’ and will have topics exclusively from medical oncoloy.
- There will be a separate question paper group for admissions to DM, DrNB Critical Care Medicine as well. The paper will cover topics from critical care medicine.
- NEET SS question paper 2025 will have 150 questions to be attempted in two and a half hours.
