Try NowNEET PG Counselling 2025: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started the choice-filling for the first round of National Eligibility Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 counselling. Candidates can reset registration and fill choices for NEET PG 2025 counselling on the official website, mcc.nic.in. After a prolonged delay, the NEET PG counselling schedule 2025 has been announced ahead of the Supreme Court hearing today, October 28.
NEET PG counselling registration 2025 for admissions to 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats is underway. MCC has asked candidates under the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) quota to submit documents by October 28.
In the NEET PG latest news, the reset registration link will close on November 5. The detailed NRI quota rules has also been announced on the MCC official portal. However, the MCC NEET PG counselling schedule and final seat matrix are yet to be published on the official website, mcc.nic.in.
Around 2 months after the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - postgraduate (NEET PG 2025), candidates are still uncertain about two major updates crucial for this year’s admission process - the Supreme Court decision on exam transparency and the MCC NEET PG counselling schedule .
This year, over 2 lakh candidates registered for the entrance exam, with most of them opposing the newly introduced two-shift exams. After the top court ordered it to revert to the traditional single-shift, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducted the exam on August 3.
The NEET PG results 2025 were published on August 19, however, the answer key with full questions were not released. Instead, the question IDs were released making it “impossible” for candidates to cross-verify their answers. Challenging this, several candidates approached the SC seeking transparency in the NEET PG exam, alleged mark discrepancies, and lack of accountability from the NBEMS.

NEET PG aspirants demand MCC counselling dates
Urging the officials to fast-track the process, candidates appealed to the NMC: “The NEET PG 2025 aspirants have been waiting anxiously for the counselling schedule, yet there has been no official update so far. Thousands of young doctors across India are in a state of uncertainty, unable to plan their future or decide on academic and personal commitments.”
Meanwhile, several states started the registration process much earlier than the MCC. However, the round 1 schedule is yet to be announced as the MCC has been delayed. Earlier this month, doctor groups blamed the National Medical Commission ( NMC ) for delaying the approval of PG seats and the pending SC decision on NEET PG.
