NEET PG Counselling 2025: MCC mandates result, valid UDID card, self-certification for PwD candidates

Try NowIn view of the interim guidelines on assessment method for granting admission in postgraduate courses to PwD candidates for academic year 2025-26, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has notified the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) rules for the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 counselling.
The commission has resolved that all candidates with benchmark disabilities, who possess a valid UDID card issued by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) and meet the NEET PG eligibility criteria, shall be considered for admission in postgraduate courses under the PwBD category.
As per the MCC PwD guidelines, the candidates will be required to submit NEET PG 2025 result card, valid UDID card, self-certified affidavits at the designated disability centres for obtaining the disability certificates.
MCC commenced the NEET PG counselling registration 2025 on October 17 after a delay of two months over the Supreme Court hearing and pending approval of NEET PG seat matrix 2025 .
MCC NEET PG Counselling 2025: PwD guidelines
Candidates who wish to claim All India Quota (AIQ) seat under PwBD category are required to visit one of the designated disability centers and submit the following documents to obtain the disability certificate:
- NEET PG 2025 result card demonstrating eligibility for the PG course.
- Valid UDID card issued by the designated medical authority under MoSJE
- Self-certification form
- Affidavits, specific to the candidate’s disability category, in the prescribed format of NMC
The certificate will be generated by the disability center based on the disability mentioned on the UDID card, affidavit submitted by the PwBD candidate, fulfillment of eligibility criteria subject to board assessment of functional competencies.

For disabilities other than the one already discussed in respect of locomotor, hearing, visual and SLD/cognitive, candidates will have to submit a valid UDID card and the self-certified affidavit prescribed in Appendix-A under the category “Others”.
Only those candidates who have obtained a disability certificate from a designated center of MCC will be shown choices of PwD seats during NEET PG counselling 2025. The committee said that the disability certificate will be valid for this academic session only.
MCC advised candidates to check whether the designated disability center they are visiting for examination of their disability has that particular facility or not.
