NEET PG 2025 Counselling LIVE: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started the registrations for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG 2025) counselling. Candidates can register for NEET PG counselling 2025 on the official website, mcc.nic.in. Meanwhile, candidates are now waiting for the round-wise NEET PG counselling schedule 2025.
Amid speculations on counselling dates and seat matrix, Gujarat has issued the NEET PG seat matrix 2025 approved by the NMC as of October 13. According to which, there are 49,907 seats available for PG medical courses and an additional 2,337 newly approved seats.
MCC has also issued guidelines for the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates participating in NEET PG counselling 2025. Earlier, the committee notified the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) quota rules in the NEET PG information bulletin 2025. NRI seat allotment will be based on a priority system.
Candidates can apply for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in MD, MS, DnB admissions on the MCC website. The last date for NEET PG counselling registration has not been announced yet.
The NEET PG 2025 exam was conducted on August 3, 2025, and the results were declared on August 19, 2025. Doctors’ groups criticised the National Medical Commission (NMC) for the prolonged delay in NEET PG 2025 counselling, calling it a “mockery” of the admission process. Over 70 days after the exam, nearly 2 lakh medical graduates were left waiting for the admissions to begin, with delays linked to the pending Supreme Court hearing on transparency and the NMC’s failure to approve the seat matrix.
The NEET PG counselling 2025 schedule announcement has been delayed due to a petition filed in the Supreme Court seeking greater transparency in NEET PG exam 2025. The petition challenges the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences’ (NBEMS) method of releasing only question‑ID‑wise responses without full question papers.
Earlier hearings in September were adjourned, and the apex court has now scheduled the next hearing for October 28, 2025. In the meantime, some states, including Telangana, Karnataka, Gujarat, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, have begun preparing state‑quota counselling independently. Still, most candidates remain in a waiting period pending official confirmation.
The MCC NEET PG counselling schedule will be announced on the official website at mcc.nic.in. In the meantime, candidates can keep their documents, including rank cards, scores, and category certificates, ready for swift registration once the schedule is announced.
