Tension is mounting among PG aspirants as the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has yet to release the counselling schedule for NEET PG 2025. In the meantime, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has cancelled the results of 22 candidates due to the use of unfair means.
As per the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA)’s conversation with the health ministry, NEET PG counselling 2025 is supposed to start by mid-October, however there is no update yet. This is the only major update so far as the Supreme Court hearing on NEET PG case has been scheduled for late October.
NEET PG results of 13 candidates have been cancelled for their alleged involvement in cheating while another's candidature has been removed following a Karnataka High Court order.
Aspirants, distressed over prolonged delay in admissions, are now outraged about the alleged data leak. In a breach of privacy, details of NEET PG 2025 aspirants are being sold online for a meagre amount of money as claimed by some candidates and doctors.
The good part is – despite the chaos – some states such as Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Kerala have commenced the NEET PG state counselling 2025 process for admissions to 50% state quota seats in MD, MS, DnB programmes in government and private medical colleges for the 2025-26 academic session.
