NEET PG Counselling 2024: MCC AIQ schedule at mcc.nic.in soon; Supreme Court hearing on Friday

NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will soon announce the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling 2024 schedule for admission into MD, MS and other PG medical courses. The MCC NEET PG counselling registration link was hosted on the official website, mcc.nic.in, on September 20. The MCC has not yet announced the registration last date, choice filling, and complete schedule.

NEET PG counselling is held for admission to All India Quota (AIQ) seats in Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), Diplomate of National Board (DNB), and postgraduate diploma programmes. The NEET PG 2024 counselling process is expected to take place in four rounds: round 1, round 2, round 3, and the AIQ stray vacancy round.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will to hear the NEET PG aspirants plea against the National Board of Examinations in Medical Science (NBEMS) on October 25. Candidates who took the exam have filed a plea requesting the court to direct the NBE to issue the answer keys, response sheets, and raw scores. Students have raised concerns over a lack of transparency, as the board did not issue the NEET PG 2024 cut-off and used the normalisation process for the first time.

There has been an increase of 134 percent in NEET PG seats from 31,185 before 2014 to 73,111 now, Union health minister JP Nadda said on Sunday.
