Try NowNEET PG Answer Key 2025: In a first, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will publish the NEET PG answer key along with candidates’ response sheets. The board will also announce the NEET PG 2025 counselling dates soon on its official portal.
The move comes after the Supreme Court directed the board to publish the answer key to ensure transparency in the national-level exams, allowing candidates to cross-verify their answers with the official key.
The NBEMS on August 19 announced the results for 2.42 lakh candidates who had appeared for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - postgraduate (NEET PG). The exam was held on August 3 in a single shift following the top court order.
In May, the apex court had issued 10 directives after many students approached seeking a transparent exam, synchronized counselling, and fair admission process.
The NEET PG cut-off marks and percentile were announced along with the results. Notably, the NEET PG marks were not made public last year as the board had to use a normalisation method to calculate the percentile score for the exam held in two shifts. Several candidates alleged discrepancies in percentile calculation and filed petitions in high courts.
NEET PG cut-off marks
This year, the NEET PG 2025 cut-off has been fixed at 50th percentile with 276 marks for General and EWS candidates, 45th percentile with 255 marks for General-PwBD, and 40th percentile with 235 marks for SC, ST, and OBC categories.
The NEET PG qualifying marks and cut-off marks have declined across categories compared to previous years. The highest NEET PG cut-off for general category was fixed at 302 in 2021 and 291 in 2023.
Soon after the result announcement, aspirants have flooded social media with allegations of discrepancies in the marks ranging from 50 to 100. Doctors’ groups have also voiced their support for aspirants.
