The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing on the NEET PG 2025 transparency plea by two weeks. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to announce the schedule for National Eligibility Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 counselling soon on the official website, mcc.nic.in.
Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice KV Viswanathan will take up all the issues related to the NEET PG answer key 2025. The Supreme Court had previously directed the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to publish NEET PG raw scores, answer key, and a detailed normalisation method to ensure exam transparency.
Despite the SC’s directive, NBEMS only published the NEET PG question IDs and answers.
Several medical aspirants and the United Doctors Front (UDF) have filed petitions against NBEMS. Candidates have also raised concerns about discrepancies in the scores, ranging from 50 to 150 marks.
In the previous hearing, candidates argued that it is impossible to verify answers only using question IDs. As per the SC directives, NBEMS has to publish the questions of NEET PG 2025, along with answer keys and marked responses.
MCC conducts NEET PG counselling 2025 for 50% of the All India Quota (AIQ) seats in MD, MS, and other postgraduate medical courses for the academic session 2025-26. On the other hand, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu have already commenced the NEET PG admission process, whereas Karnataka and Kerala have announced their bond policies.
The NEET PG 2025 exam was conducted on August 3, in a single shift in compliance with the SC’s order. A total of 1,28,116 candidates qualified for the NEET PG 2025 exam this year.
