Try NowNEW DELHI: The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2024 exam date will be announced in a week, said the NBEMS president Abhijat Sheth, as per an ANI report. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) postponed the exam scheduled for June 23 as a ‘precautionary measure’ amid allegations of irregularities in the recent competitive examinations.
Recently, the top officials from the ministry of health and NBEMS reviewed the process of the NEET PG exam . Sources told PTI that a meeting was held to check the ‘robustness’ of the exam conducting system and the new date will be announced depending on the availability of examination centres.
Talking about the NEET PG exam date 2024, the NBEMS president told ANI: “Integrity of this exam was never in doubt as far as NEET PG is concerned. For the last seven years, we have conducted the exam successfully, however, in view of the recent events, there are concerns on all sorts of exams from the student communities in response to which the government has decided to ensure that the safety and security of the exams must be maintained. So, they have decided to review the SOPs and protocols as soon as possible. We will declare the next due date in one week’s time.”
NEET PG 2024 postponement, advisory
Responding to the question raised on an NEET PG advisory issued by the medical board regarding the social media messages and warnings a day before the exam, the official said, “To ensure that the student follows the right path and they stay in confidence, we published this into the media.”
“I must regret that the examination was postponed at the last moment but I must assure the student community that we will conduct this examination safely, securely, and the sanctity of the exam will be maintained. There will be no shortcomings out of this exam, we are working closely with the government to ensure that these promises are fulfilled,” NBEMS chief added.
About the reports of delay in NEET PG results to September, the NBEMS president said that the information is not correct. The results might be announced before September, however, he can’t state anything at the moment.
