Try NowThe National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has postponed the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 exam to facilitate the identification and preparation of additional test centres and necessary infrastructure. The board has not announced the NEET-PG 2025 revised exam.
The NEET-PG 2025 was earlier scheduled to be held on June 15. This decision follows a directive from the Supreme Court, which instructed NBEMS to conduct the exam in a single shift while ensuring complete transparency and secure test centres. To comply with this order, NBEMS is working to expand the number of centres and enhance infrastructure to meet the court’s requirements.
"We, accordingly, direct the respondents to make necessary arrangements for holding the NEET-PG 2025, examination in one shift, duly ensuring that complete transparency is maintained and secure centres are identified and commissioned," the official notice said.
Following the order, NBEMS confirmed that NEET-PG 2025 will now be held in a single shift, aligning with the court’s directive. The board has not announced any changes to the NEET-PG 2025 admit card release date, which is scheduled for June 11, 2025. Candidates can expect to download their NEET PG 2025 admit cards as planned while awaiting further updates on the revised exam date.
Recently, the Supreme Court issued a notice on a writ petition filed by seven petitioners urging NBEMS to conduct the NEET-PG 2025 exam in a single shift to ensure a fair and equitable competition for all postgraduate aspirants.
