NBEMS invites applications for accreditation in post MBBS, DNB, DrNB, FNB courses

The application window will remain open from July 15 to November 28, 2025. The last date for receipt of hard copies at the NBEMS office is December 15, 2025.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued the information bulletin and opened the application window to apply for accreditation in various courses for the July-November 2025 cycle. Applications have been invited from hospitals, medical institutions and medical colleges for accreditation in Post MBBS Diploma, Diplomate of National Board (DNB), Doctorate of National Board (DrNB) and Fellowship of National Board (FNB) courses.
Post Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) diploma courses, applications have been invited for both fresh accreditation and renewal of accreditation in nine broad specialities. These include anesthesiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, family medicine, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology (ENT), radio diagnosis, tuberculosis and chest disease, and emergency medicine.
The application window will remain open from July 15 to November 28, 2025. The last date for receipt of hard copies at the NBEMS office is December 15, 2025. Institutions with accreditation valid up to December 2025 will have to apply for renewal within this window. The application process should be done through the Online Accreditation Application Portal (OAAP) available on the NBEMS website at natboard.edu.in.

Accreditation for DNB, Direct DrNB courses
For DNB and six-year direct DrNB courses, fresh applications and renewals have been invited for departments whose accreditation remains valid till December 2025. In the case of DrNB and FNB courses, renewal applications should be submitted by departments with accreditation valid up to June 2026.
Hospitals or institutes intending to apply for either fresh accreditation or renewal of accreditation in any speciality are required to pay an accreditation fee of Rs 2,00,000 per speciality, along with GST at 18%. In addition, an online application form fee of Rs 3,000 per speciality is applicable, with GST charged at 5%.
