The NMC has asked medical colleges to send the compliance report by June 30 and respond to ragging complaints received at nmc.org.in, on time.
NEW DELHI: One and a half years after the NMC framed the anti-ragging regulations in 2021, it was found that the medical colleges have not yet sent a compliance report. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has asked all medical colleges to send the compliance report on anti-ragging measures, incidents of ragging by June 30.
The commission directed colleges to comply with the ‘Prevention and Prohibition of Ragging in Medical Colleges and Institutions, regulations 2021’. The letter addressed to all colleges was issued after the NMC observed that some colleges did not respond to the complaints forwarded to them. “The report for the period ending March 31 should include all the complaints received after the UG, PG admission of 2021 and 2022 batch,” it said.

It further warned the medical colleges that “serious” action will be taken if not responded to complaints on time.
