NEET PG 2025 cut-off slashed to 0 percentile, -40 marks for SC, ST, OBC; MCC to resume round 3

Try NowThe National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has revised the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG 2025) cut-offs after lowering the qualifying percentiles. As per the latest update, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will soon announce the NEET PG round 3 counselling schedule on its official website, mcc.nic.in. NBEMS has reduced the NEET PG cut-off for 2025 for the general category from 50th to 7th percentile, and for SC, ST, and OBC percentile has been reduced from 40th percentile to 0th percentile. NBEMS has made no changes NEET PG ranks 2025.
MCC NEET PG counselling 2025 round 2 results were announced on December 17. MCC had extended the round 2 seat resignation till December 30. NEET PG 2025 results were announced on August 19.
Recently, MCC revised the seat matrix by adding 540 seats following candidate resignations. In addition, 135 new PG medical seats were introduced, bringing the total number of seats to 32,215.

Among the newly added seats by MCC, West Bengal recorded the highest increase with 46 additional seats, including those at North Bengal Medical Colleges.
Madhya Pradesh followed with the second-highest rise, adding 20 seats across three medical colleges—six at Government Medical College, Shivpuri; two at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College; and 12 at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur.
