The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is conducting the HSC Class 12 board exams 2026. Today, 13 language papers are being held, with Marathi concluded in the first half and Urdu and three other languages underway in the second half. Over 15 lakh students are appearing for the HSC examinations across science, arts, commerce, vocational, and TechSci streams.

Students appearing for the exam can download the Maharashtra HSC admit card 2026 on the official website, mahahsscboard.in.

Maharashtra Class 10 board exams 2026 will be conducted from February 20 to March 18, and HSC Class 12 exams will be held from February 10 to March 11.

The Maharashtra HSC board exams 2026 will be held in two shifts; the first session will take place from 11 am to 2 pm, and the second session from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Maharashtra HSC Exams 2026: Passing marks

To pass a subject in the Maharashtra HSC exam 2026 , students must secure a minimum of 35% of the total maximum marks prescribed for the subject. In subjects with two papers or with both theory and practical components, the marks from all components will be added to determine whether the student has qualified or achieved a distinction.

As per the MSBSHSE press release, a total of 3,50,015 students will appear from various districts in the state, of which 3,22,832 are fresh, 10,081 are repeaters, 13,780 are private, and 401 belong to ISO and 2,921 to CSI students.

Furthermore, the board has constituted a state-level vigilance committee to oversee the conduct of Maharashtra Class 12 board exams 2026 and prevent any malpractices. A committee has been formed to ensure coordination, monitoring, and control at all exam centres.
