MP Budget 2022: Govt allocates Rs 10,345 crore for setting up government primary schools

Madhya Pradesh Budget 2022: About Rs 6,212 crore has been allocated for setting up secondary schools
NEW DELHI: The Madhya Pradesh government has presented the state budget for the year 2022-23 in the state assembly. MP finance minister Jagdish Devda presented the Rs 2.79 lakh crore budget which includes Rs 10,345 crore allocation for setting up government primary schools, and Rs 6,212 crore for secondary schools. About Rs 200 crore will be given as grants to non-government schools.
The Madhya Pradesh budget 2022-23 has the provision of Rs 350 crore for an honorarium of guest teachers of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Rs 310 crore provision for salary to contract school teachers.

About Rs 253 crore is allocated for construction and expansion of government school, hostel, library and residential sports buildings, and Rs 166 crore for maintenance.
As part of the government’s initiative of supply of free reading materials, Rs 109 crore has been allocated. Similarly, Rs100 crore will be spent on reading and writing arrangements and labs in high schools and higher secondary schools.

Under the MP budget 2022-23, about Rs 3,908 crore have been allocated for the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan programme of the government. About Rs 3,160 crore is assigned for government high schools and higher secondary schools. The CM Rise scheme of the MP government has been allocated Rs 855 crore. Rs 457 crore has been reserved for the maintenance of departmental assets.
