Lucknow University Admissions 2025: UG registration through Samarth portal begins; eligibility, fees

LU Admission 2025: for 4-year BA (NEP) courses, candidates belonging to general and other backward classes (OBC) should have scored 40% of marks in Class 12 inter results 2025.
NEW DELHI: The University of Lucknow has opened the application for admission to undergraduate (UG) courses for the admission year 2025-26. Candidates are required to generate Lucknow University Registration Number (LURN) through Samarth portal, lkounivadm.samarth.edu.in, to be considered for admission.
To register on LURN, applicants will have to provide a valid email ID, active mobile number, scanned photo and signature, caste certificate and Class 12 inter pass certificate. The last date to apply for Lucknow University BA, BSc, BBA, and other UG programmes is April 30.
Admissions in arts, commerce, law, science, education and fine arts, yoga, medicine and diploma in pharmacy will be done on the basis of marks obtained in under-graduate entrance test (UGET) conducted by the university.
As per the eligibility criteria for 4-year BA (NEP) courses, candidates belonging to general and other backward classes (OBC) should have scored 40% of marks in Class 12 inter or UP 12th inter exam and those belonging to reserved category, such as SC, ST - should have obtained a minimum of 40%. This percentage is based upon the total marks of all the subjects.
Students have been instructed to choose two major subjects and one minor subject from groups A to H. A subject chosen as a major subject cannot be opted as a minor subject. Statistics will be a minor subject, but those who choose this subject will also have to opt for mathematics.

The university will be adopting an off-campus online counseling for the BA (NEP), BCom (NEP), BCom (Hons), BSc (NEP) Biology, BSc (NEP) Mathematics, LLB (Integrated), BCA and BVoc Renewable Energy, UG Management (BBA), BVA/BFA, B.El.Ed., B.Sc. (AG), BJMC, B.A./B.Sc. (Yoga), BNYS, Diploma in Pharmacy. "Candidates have to register and submit choices after the result has been declared,” the brochure read.

In case of a gap in taking admission after Class 12, then an affidavit certified by the Notary on Rs 10 stamp paper has to be submitted at the time of admission, the information brochure read.
